Typical American Weekend.

There is a perception that Indians in the US have a great weekend and lots to talk about to their friends and family back home about it. If you are one among them, then am afraid, you are terribly weekend. Needless to say Indians do
have fun during the weekends, but its entirely of a differently kind. If you dont have car here (under which most immigrants fall) you are doomed. You would never have expected life to be so dependent on someone else. The first
two months you would be cursing yourself, to leave your hometown and your country to live in this piece of trash.
Not that, the situation gets better after 2 months...its just that you get used to it. I will give you my Gyan on how a Typical Weekend for a Desi would like in the US. Lets just take an average guy who has a phone, and a system
at home. So Lets start.

08:23 AM : Wake up, switch on your computer, wash your face, check your mail.
08:40 AM : Brush your teeth, finish off with you-know-what
8:45 AM : Start chatting with everyone back home, even with guys who you would hesitate chatting when you were in India.
11:00 AM : Put your chat on hold, start with making lunch.
12:04 AM : Lunch is done. Nothing much except some egg curry and rice or frozen chappathis. Continue with chat
01:30 PM : Chat is done. You are exhausted, have lunch
02:00 PM : Start off with your afternoon nap.
04:30 PM : Wake up, freshen up, search for the best movie to watch in the huge movie database tht you had collected.
04:45 PM : Did a good job in finding a movie. Start the show.
07:00 PM : Check your mails again. If you dont find anything interesting, you always know that your calls are free on weekends. Call every single person you know in the US and eat their brains out (You never know, they
mite be more than happy to do so...just to kill theirs)
08:30 PM : Ask one of your friends, to take you to the nearest liqor store.
09:30 PM : The 'sarakku' is ready. Start Music.
11:30 PM : After 3 or 4 rounds, try to make some dinner. 'Side dish' to be precise.
12:00 PM : Continue
02:30 AM : Exhausted. Crash.
Sunday
01:00 PM : Wake Up. Freshenup. Eat the left overs.
02:30 PM : Crash.
05:00 PM : Finish the laundry and Ironing.
08:30 PM : Make Dinner. Eat. Crash.

End of day's play. That will be stumps on Day Two.
